After experiencing a depletion of precious resources due to mining activities in the late 19th century, the people of Ibiraci turned to coffee farming as a means of economic prosperity. With a history steeped in respect for the natural environment, Ibiraci has become a hub for conscientious coffee farming, transforming the area into a thriving coffee territory that supports over 13 thousand residents, most of whom are coffee farmers themselves.
