Narrative

Odar Velazco is the owner of Finca La Boliana, a coffee farm situated in Peru's Cajamarca region. On his farm, Odar tends to around 7,000 coffee trees, yielding an annual production of about 1000kg of coffee. The farm spans 2 hectares, which is in line with the typical size of farms in the area. Many producers in Cajamarca are smallholder producers who choose to sell their coffee independently. Due to the region’s proximity to the Andean mountain range, Cajamarca offers favourable coffee-growing conditions, including fertile soils, consistently cool temperatures, and high altitudes.
