Narrative

Ricardo began managing San Agustín after the farm was severely damaged from frost and abandoned. After replanting, he added trees to shade the coffee and increase biodiversity and soil health. Ricardo is also passionate about the next generation of coffee producers, setting up the Coffee High School, which is open to all ages and runs on weekends to allow students to work full-time.
