Narrative

This coffee lot is a contribution to the Railaco Processing Station in Timor-Leste's Ermera Municipality. As coffee production is a vital source of income for over a third of households in the country, there is a strong commitment to improving the quality of coffee produced. This involves investing in infrastructure, training programs, and land rehabilitation. The lot includes a variety called Catimor, which is a hybrid of Caturra (also found in this lot) and Hybrido de Timor, a naturally occurring variety discovered in Timor-Leste in the early 1900s.
