This coffee was grown by producers residing in Palestina, a municipality in Huila, Colombia. The farms are situated along the path to Cuevas de los Guácharos National Natural park, one of the oldest national parks in Colombia. This area is rich in biodiversity; the park itself houses one of Colombia’s last fully intact native oak forests. The coffee here is grown at high altitudes, between 1600-1800 MASL. This means cooler climates, and subsequently, a reduced risk of coffee leaf rust and other diseases and pests.
