Narrative

Maira Solis Ureña has been involved in coffee her entire life. She and her three children, Delfina, Davila and Eduardo, produced this micro-lot on Maira's farm, Alto El Vapor. Each family member handles a different aspect of the farm. Delfina is in charge of operations and pricing, Davila studies Bioprocess Engineering to relay her knowledge back to the farm, and Eduardo manages milling and picking. This year, the family decided to start milling their own cherries to improve their margins.
