José Rolando and his brothers inherited Finca Doña Chila after their father passed away two years ago. Today, the farm is owned and operated by José and his two brothers. The family works together to take care of growing and processing coffee, oftentimes with help from cousins, their mother (after whom the farm is named), and their sister. To improve their prices, José recently started producing specialty coffee and improving post-harvest infrastructure at the farm. The family has been consistently making changes and improvements to sell their entire production as specialty.
