Narrative

Most of José Roberto Monterosso's farm, El Morito, is dedicated to rainforest conservation. Only a small portion of El Morito is for growing coffee. This favours José, as the native trees help protect younger coffee plants from strong wind and sun. These and other conscientious agronomic techniques also provide organic fertilisation. They have allowed José to be a consistent finalist in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence competitions.
