Before coffee defined the Nunes family name, the land was used for cattle. For many years, Osmar Pereira Nunes managed herds across the Cerrado Mineiro, unaware that the region’s greatest potential was yet to be planted. That changed on November 24, 1984, when Osmar Junior planted the family’s first 10 hectares of Arabica coffee. What began as diversification soon became purpose, marking the start of the family’s transition into coffee cultivation in the Cerrado Mineiro.

When you buy this product, mangrove trees are planted on your behalf in either Madagascar, Mozambique, or Kenya. This gives crucial income to local villagers so they can provide for their families.

Mangrove forests are essential coastal ecosystems. They store four times as much carbon as even tropical rainforest, making them an important tool to mitigate climate change.

The trees are planted by Eden Reforestation Projects.
