Ernelio Ortiz owns and managed Finca El Pedrero in the Montecillos region of Honduras.

This 12 hectare farm is almost completely planted in coffee, with some smaller sections also have Aguacate or Avocado trees. Ernelio estimates he has roughly 56,000 coffee trees, mostly Catuai and IHCAFE 90 varieties.

Ernelio believes that his care for the environment on his farm has led to increased quality production and better prices for his coffee.

When you buy this product, mangrove trees are planted on your behalf in either Madagascar, Mozambique, or Kenya. This gives crucial income to local villagers so they can provide for their families.

Mangrove forests are essential coastal ecosystems. They store four times as much carbon as even tropical rainforest, making them an important tool to mitigate climate change.

The trees are planted by Eden Reforestation Projects.
