Narrative

Dusangirijambo Coop resides in the heart of Burundi's Karuzi province. As a member of COCOCA, a union cooperative of coffee growers in Burundi, Dusangirijambo Coop has been thriving since its establishment in 2013. The small-holder producers in the region deliver their hand-picked coffee cherries to the Bugenyuzi Washing Station for processing, where workers meticulously oversee every step of the process. Following a 12-18 hour fermentation, the coffee is sun-dried on raised beds for 10-14 days, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions.
