Tasting Notes

Butterscotch / Ribena / Walnut

This coffee is produced by Bogale and his family, who grow coffee amongst the native forest amongst other fruits and grains. All harvesting is done by hand over multiple days to select the ripest cherries. The intact cherries are then separated according to size and dried on raised beds in thin layers. They remain here for up to 4 weeks to dry before the cherry is removed from the seed and exported.

This Coffee Plants Trees

When you buy this product, mangrove trees are planted on your behalf in either Madagascar, Mozambique, or Kenya. This gives crucial income to local villagers so they can provide for their families.

Mangrove forests are essential coastal ecosystems. They store four times as much carbon as even tropical rainforest, making them an important tool to mitigate climate change.

The trees are planted by Eden Reforestation Projects.
