This lot was grown by Bertha Nelly Narvaez in Suaza, a municipality in Colombia's Huila Department. It comprises predominantly Caturra variety coffee. Caturra is a cultivar of the Arabica coffee plant that originated as a spontaneous mutation of the Bourbon variety. Notable for its smaller size compared to other Arabica varieties, Caturra is well-suited for cultivation in higher-altitude regions, and the compact nature of the plant facilitates easier management. Caturra is recognized for its bright acidity and a clean, sweet cup profile, making it a popular choice in the production of specialty coffee.
