Tarekegn Gutu inherited a 0.5 hectare coffee farm from his father, Gutu Birre, in 2010. Over the years, that small plot has grown to 4.8 hectares, and it’s where Tarekegn grows his local landrace coffee varieties. His plot is shaded by Albizia trees, and intercropped by Enset trees. Tarekegn puts the majority of his efforts into agronomy and processing.
