This micro-lot is made up of coffee produced by small-scale farmers from two main cantons in El Salvador: Citalá and La Palma. These cantons are part of the Montecristo Trifino, a national park in El Salvador that borders with Guatemala and Honduras. The Montecristo Trifino is rich in rare and diverse wildlife, and became a biosphere reserve in 2011.
