Luis Sampieri inherited his farm from his grandmother, Maria Luisa. When Maria Luisa originally received the farm, the land was in bad condition. She spent years rehabilitating it, and Luis has since been producing coffee on it for 10 years, under the guidance & advice of Maria Luisa. He discovered an unknown variety on the farm, which he named after her.
