Narrative

Maria Cenaida Flor has been producing coffee for 15 years. Her farm, La Esperanza, is located in the municipality of Totoró, in the Cauca department in Colombia’s southwest region, bordering the Pacific Ocean. La Esperanza is four hectares large. Aside from growing Castillo variety coffee trees, Maria also grows corn, Yuca (the root of the Cassava plant), Lulo (also known as Naranjilla), and other fruits.
